I’m trying to aspire.
Go higher and higher.
Be humble and honest,
With confident fire.
No fear, just respect;
I want to reflect
the good that I see
and aspire to be.
I’m just dealing with ME.
They say everything has been done before.
It’s a lot like saying all the ingredients are already out there, in my honest opinion.
So you want to know my recipe? It’s a secret, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out if you pay attention. You’re pretty smart. I think it has something to do with 11 herbs and spices, but I’m just a naive college student. You probably shouldn’t trust me, unless I stumble upon, say, a recipe you find useful.
Right now, I’m set up in front to the Massey Business building at Belmont University.
I drug a table out to the center like i’m selling tickets for some event going on inside, though the doors are closed and…let me check…decidedly unlocked.
So, like I was saying, if you want to know what’s going on inside, you’ll have to get past me. There’s plenty of space on either side and Come Together is playing on my Bose portable sound dock. Calm down, gentle passer-by. I’m here to serve and enrich your life with acclaimed melodies. Approach with caution.
Simple and Clean is the way that you’re making me feel tonight, OSX Lion.
Taking all my apps and putting them into iPhone-esque folders. All my apps are now grouped in recognizable associations that can help me when I wonder what I’m even supposed to do with some of them.
Weird Hewlett-Packard printing uninstaller app?
Oh, yeah, just go to my HP app “box”. It’s a box with little icons and it says “HP” underneath.
Facebook App? Twitter?
Social-Networking app box.
Take it or leave it; Martin likes.
Some graduates had been having a final class, and when I went inside to use the restroom, they jokingly offered me some of their “Momma’s recipe” mac and cheese. I was down for mac and cheese + implied conversation with strangers. I told them I’d partake if they were still around in a minute or two, which they WERE.
We had a delicious conversation about unemployment straight out of college, hopes and dreams, and food. The macaroni was, indeed, a refined recipe. An original recipe, I was told.
The playlist has come to “Bloom” by Radiohead.
Someone came outside and burst into a grin. He gave me a thumbs up and pulled a cigarette out of his metal case, then decided to smoke it nearby at the “former” Massey smoking-area. His pensive silhouette stayed in view as “Pink Floyd Time Remix” by Pretty Lights followed up in the playlist shuffle.
Another computer-working youth has joined my work environment; I’m DJ-ing the atmosphere with a playlist of songs on my mind in this present, expectant summer.
Enter “Life in a Glass House” by Radiohead.
Welcome to my glass house of a unified vibe. I hope it doesn’t bother you, in fact, I hope you’re more comfortable here than in the elements of chaos just a matter of yards away.
I’m open to critique, nearby student dude. Just speak up, ok?
I already asked him earlier if I was bothering and he was actually enjoying the tunes. So we’re all good.
I’ve heard some interesting opinions.
Sometimes, people are just waiting for someone to step up and be influential.
I’m still thinking about that.
If I’m going to be influential, though, it sure won’t be about me.
Hopefully that will show. It will take a lot of working on myself.
Somewhere down the line, I’ll just have to deal with appearing selfish.
But there’s no point in a “humble mumble”. If you’re going to build somebody else up, enunciate!
“Be Calm” by Fun! just came on. Back to work!!! Nate, the singer, is a huge inspiration to me.
Post. Move on in life.
I went to Italy this summer, so I have EVERY right to end my blah-blah-blogs with…
Ciao, bellas e bellos
Hey take it easy on me. I’m new at this.
What’s a tumblr? Blogging?
Ok, I’m down.
This is my first poem on tumblr. I’m not going to think about it, so I figure it will be a fun way of seeing my mind have a frolic in the productive fields of the interwebz.
Pizza in the oven is ready to eat
I feel dog tongues licking up on my feet
Ready for my rocstor? 1 Terrabyte of meat!
Food-time, my friends. I won’t be discreet.
Thank you. So much.
